Lambing Time is Here

By Lori Perry

Warm sunny days and dog trials seem a world away when the Midwest has been in the throws of a polar vortex, blizzards, and freezing rain! However, we jump our clocks ahead in less than 3 weeks and the first day of spring is less than 2 weeks later. Lambing time is near and some have already started! That means it’s time to start thinking about how each of us wants to contribute for the various tasks for our LDT. Hard working trial co-chairs Susane Hoffman and Claudia Mahon have informed me that they would lie to scale back their responsibilities a bit so there will be even more opportunities for members to get involved. I will be sending out a task list to members in the future so you all know what is needed.

On April 13th we will be having our annual general meeting at John Wentz’s farm in Portage starting at noon. Please plan to attend and lets think about a pot luck lunch. Details and an agenda will be forthcoming. This also means election time. This year Rose Anderson(incumbent) and Paul Henning will run for the open director position and Donna Huntington is running for re-election for the secretary position and is unopposed so far. An agenda will be send out to members beforehand. If there is anything in particular you want discussed at the meeting please contact me. Stay warm and let’s hope we can put those snow shovels away before too long!
