Welcome to the 40th Annual WWSDA Midwest Championship Sheepdog Trial!

This trial is four days of spectacular stock dog trialing, culminating in the top dog and handler teams competing in the Double Lift Championship on Monday.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the WWSDA Midwest Championship Sheepdog Trial! The top 12 Open teams qualify to run the challenging Double Lift Championship on Monday. The winner of the Double Lift Championship then qualifies for the prestigious 2027 Soldier Hollow Invitational held in Heber Valley, Utah.

We strongly encourage Novice handlers to come to the Labor Day Weekend trials, volunteer to scribe, work the pens, man the front gate, and watch the runs. We can learn so much from watching experienced handlers and dogs.
